Yesterday we have witnessed another flagship product launch by the budding superstar smartphone company. All hail Xiaomi Phablet; the affordable version of iPhone 6 plus. Well this is what my opinion is and in no way endorsing Apple or Xiaomi. Many of us thought that, from the hints that they were leaving in their social network pages, a next generation MI phone will come but instead they launched a phablet.
They are calling it Xiaomi MI Note which is a premium offering in the phablet segment having 5.7-inch full-HD (1080 x 1920 px) Sharp / JDI 1080p (386 ppi) NEGA LCD, which boasts a 95 percent NTSC color gamut, improved outdoor performance and lower power requirements. It is 7.1 mm thin and weigh 161 gm.The pixel density is 386ppi and consists of dynamic contrast adjustment pixel-level technology. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 is there to protect the screen from unwanted scratches which may result from keeping this phone and car keys in the same pocket. This device is powered by a superfast quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz. This device has abundant 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM which will help you multi task smoothly. The graphics will be handled by an Adreno 330 GPU clocked at 578MHz. The storage space is kept traditionally at 16GB and 64GB. For awesome photography needs there is a 13 megapixel f/2.0 aperture with optical image stabilization and dual-color LED flash by Philips. For selfie lovers there is a 4MP large-pixel camera which is considered to produce output same as HTC’s UltraPixel counterparts. The battery is a decent 3000mAh which can handle 18 hours of audio playback / 10 hours of HD videos / 3G network call upto 34 hours.
A side-by-side comparison of the specifications of the flagship smartphones offered by Xiaomi, Apple, and Samsung shows almost identical capabilities. Xiaomi is more reasonably priced at less than half the cost of the Apple or Samsung smartphone and is in no way compromising the quality experience. This is coming from an existing Xiaomi MI3 user.
