The more competition in this price range, better it is for the customers. Oppo launched the NEO 5 2015 version which is the successor of Oppo Neo 5 2014 version with improved specs and design. This device is powered by 1.3 GHz Quad core Mediatek processor and ColorOS 2.0.1 which is a custom android ROM. 
It has optimized visual and hierarchical schemes, integrated screen-off gesture and air gesture operations. The build quality looks premium with rounded edges sporting a very stylish look. It is available in two colors: crystal white and sapphire blue. The interior of the new OPPO Neo 5 is designed with a double-layer metallic structure for a more compact, thin, and seamless body. Compared to a normal, single-layer metallic structure, its thinner body encompasses a tough inner core and has better heat dissipation capabilities. This device has an inbuilt storage capacity of 8GB plus you can extend storage using a microSD card. It has dual SIM capabilities. Micro SIM + Nano SIM or Micro SIM + TF Card with dual sim standby. The company claims that it uses an 8-megapixel rear-illuminated sensor with an f/2.2 large aperture lens. It is more photosensitive, has a higher resolution, and can block infrared light effectively.

Conclusion : The New Oppo NEO 5 launched in India at Rs 9990. The phone looks good and may do well in Indian market if the price is lowered. Considering the phone specifications as well as the current alternative smartphones in the same range. The major turn off is the absence of a Snapdragon processor. For a Rs 10000 range phone it seems a bit overpriced as Yu Yuphoria is offering better phone at low price. It may face a strong competition from Xiaomi Redmi 2, Moto G2, Lenovo A6000+, Yu Yuphoria, Lumia 640.
