This is what I was searching for years but never got a perfect option which balances 13 inch screen with good processor + good RAM + awesome battery backup. Yes, I was also waiting for the best laptop with long battery backup and Dell at Consumer Electronics Show ( CES 2015 ) solved my problem and of those who are reading this article now. Apart from Macbook Air I was not really satisfied with any other available laptops in the market all these years because none of the available laptops offered me high processing power with long battery backup having 13 inch screen. Also because of price factor and OS compatibility I did not go for Macbook Air. (OS X is fine and have no issues. By compatibility I meant that the applications / softwares on which I am fully dependent works with Windows only).
The laptop which I am mentioning is the new DELL XPS 13 which is featured in CES 2015. This is an amazing laptop having the perfect balance of processing speed with battery backup along with being very lightweight.
Embodied inside the aluminium and carbon fiber, it has a 13.3-inch “infinity” display and incredibly tiny 5.2mm bezel on the top and sides. Buyers can choose between two variants. First one has a 3200 x 1800px high-resolution touchscreen display and another one has 1920 X 1020px fHD non touchscreen display. There is an option of adding 4Gb and 8GB of RAM. The intriguing part is the power efficient next generation Intel Broadwell processor which is promising to give 15 hours of backup if you pick the 1920 x 1080 display option and a Core i5.
The reason I stick with Dell is because of their superb finish and quality and needless to mention their hassle free customer support and repair-at-home facility. Earlier I had an awesome Dell XPS M1530 and now looking forward to buy this amazing piece of technology.
XPS 13 is starting at $799 for the Core i3 model, all the way up to $1,899 for the Core i7 varient with a qHD+ panel, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD.
When will we get it ?
